Guidelines for Key Research Topics in Journal of Modern Information for the Year 2024

Established in 1980, Journal of Modern Information (formerly known as Information Knowledge) is a leading academic journal in the field of information resource management, jointly sponsored by Jilin Institute of Scientific and Technical Information and China Society of Scientific and Technical Information. The journal focuses on reporting the latest developments in theoretical research and innovative practices in information studies that serve national strategic needs. It pays attention to the direction of disciplinary development, focuses on cutting-edge topics, and is committed to building a distinctive academic exchange platform to promote the development of the academic community. In recent years, Journal of Modern Information has made breakthroughs in research topics, special columns, content branding, and publicity, keeping up with the times. It has been included in the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI), the Chinese Core Journal Summary, the China Academic Journal (AMI) Core Journal in Humanities and Social Sciences, the Chinese Core Academic Journal in Science and Technology (Social Sciences Volume), and the RCCSE Chinese Core Academic Journal. It has been repeatedly recognized as an excellent academic journal with international influence in China and was newly included in the Scopus international database in 2023. The academic quality and influence of the journal have been increasing year by year, making its due contribution to the development of intelligence studies and the intelligence industry.

 

In the new era of profound social changes and rapid scientific and technological development, Journal of Modern Information will further focus on theoretical research information studies and innovative practices in information. It aims to serve major national strategic needs, explore and solve major practical problems in intelligence studies and work, guide researchers to continuously innovate theoretical research, expand practical application scenarios, and contribute the wisdom of intelligence studies to accelerate the implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy and achieve high-level scientific and technological self-reliance.
