Policy Statement for Preprints of Modern Information
Starting today, Journal of Modern Information(hereafter referred to as "this journal") is collaborating with the "ChinaXiv Scientific Paper Preprint Platform" (ChinaXiv, https://chinaxiv.org) to build the "China Graph Intelligence Archive Preprint Platform" (http://lis.chinaxiv.org), which is committed to providing services for authors to reliably deposit and publish their paper manuscripts, quickly disseminate them through the Internet, and jointly build a new research result exchange and academic communication model that is open for browsing and retrieval, free for download, open for sharing, and run by scholars themselves.
The following policy statement is hereby released:
1. The journal is a collaborating journal of the "China Graph Intelligence Archive Preprint Platform" and will establish a business synergy relationship with the platform on "preprint platform publishing-academic journal publication" to jointly enhance the academic influence of the latest research results through Internet first release and rapid dissemination.
2. The journal encourages and supports authors to publish their paper manuscripts (preprints) on the "China Graph Intelligence Archive Preprint Platform" before or after submission to this journal, or submit the final accepted and published version (postprints) to the platform for publication. The journal's officially published papers and the preprint versions published on the "China Graph Intelligence Archive Preprint Platform" do not constitute duplicate publication. At the same time, the journal supports the platform or authors to annotate (or update) the DOI and citation format of the published papers on the "China Graph Intelligence Archive Preprint Platform" and link to the authoritative version of the paper published in this journal to form a complete version chain.
3. The journal will select and formally publish on this journal based on the quality and needs of the journal those unpublished papers that have already been published on the "China Graph Intelligence Archive Preprint Platform" after peer review and recommend excellent papers from the platform. At the same time, this journal will work with the platform to provide a series of services such as "paper proofreading-paper initial review-open review-Internet first release" to seek a balance between paper quality and publication speed, strengthen post-publication review of papers, and build a dynamic and vibrant new academic community.
4. The journal advocates for the active participation of the academic community in the construction of open science and high-end academic exchange platforms, supports the construction of new academic communication systems on the preprint platform, and promotes the reform of academic evaluation and the prosperity and development of Chinese academia. This journal welcomes more readers and authors to join the volunteer reviewer team of the "China Graph Intelligence Archive Preprint Platform" to jointly create a new, scholar-run academic communication system, provide academic support for the platform, and integrate into this new academic communication system.
