Journal of Modern Information Once Again Selected as a Chinese Science and Technology Core Journal (Social Sciences Volume) (2023 Edition)

The 2023 China Science and Technology Paper Statistics Report Conference was held on September 20, 2023, at 10:00 am. During the conference, the Institute of Scientific and Technological Information of China released the 2023 China Science and Technology Core Journal Catalog (Social Sciences Volume), in which Journal of Modern Information was once again selected as a Chinese Science and Technology Core Journal (Social Sciences Volume) (2023 Edition).

Since 1987, the Institute of Scientific and Technological Information of China has been engaged in the statistical analysis of Chinese science and technology papers. It independently developed the "China Science and Technology Paper and Citation Database (CSTPCD)" and used the data from this database to conduct various classification statistics and analyses of China's research output on an annual basis. The results of these analyses are regularly published to the public through annual research reports and press conferences, such as the "China Science and Technology Paper Statistics and Analysis" annual research report and the "China Science and Technology Journal Citation Report" (Core Edition). These publications provide abundant information and decision support for government agencies, higher education institutions, research organizations, and researchers. The journals selected by the "China Science and Technology Paper and Citation Database" are referred to as "Chinese Science and Technology Core Journals," also known as "Chinese Science and Technology Paper Statistics Source Journals." The selection of "Chinese Science and Technology Core Journals" undergoes rigorous peer review and quantitative evaluation, making them important scientific journals in various disciplines in China that reflect the level of development in their respective fields."
