Journal of Modern Information Once Again Selected as a Source Journal in CSSCI

Recently, Journal of Modern Information, under the supervision of the Department of Science and Technology of Jilin Province and jointly sponsored by Jilin Institute of Scientific and Technical Information and China Society of Scientific and Technical Information, has once again been selected as a source journal in the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI) for the period of 2023-2024.

CSSCI, developed independently by Nanjing University, is a citation index database for humanities and social sciences. It employs a combined quantitative and qualitative evaluation method to select academically strong and well-edited journals from thousands of Chinese academic journals in humanities and social sciences as source journals. Its aim is to serve knowledge innovation, frontier judgment, and comprehensive evaluation in the field of humanities and social sciences. CSSCI is recognized as one of the authoritative core journal evaluation systems in China.

Since its establishment in 1980, Journal of Modern Information has always focused on reporting theoretical research and practical innovations in the field of intelligence studies that serve national strategic needs. It pays attention to the development direction of the discipline, focuses on cutting-edge issues, and strives to build a distinctive academic exchange platform, promoting the development and growth of the academic community. Being selected once again as a source journal in CSSCI is not only a recognition and affirmation of the quality and level of our journal by various sectors of society but also an encouragement and impetus for us.

Against the backdrop of the continuous efforts by the country to promote the flourishing development of academic journals, Journal of Modern Information will continue to adhere to the correct political orientation, academic orientation, and value orientation. We will base ourselves on the development and reform practices of China's intelligence industry, closely follow the theoretical and applied aspects of intelligence studies, and timely track the development trends and research hotspots in domestic and international intelligence research. We strive to make greater contributions in promoting the construction of the discipline of information resource management and talent cultivation.
