The New Editorial Board Meeting of Journal of Modern Information Successfully Held in Changchun

On September 7, 2023, the new editorial board meeting of Journal of Modern Information was successfully held in Changchun. The meeting was organized by Jilin Province Institute of Scientific and Technological Information, the sponsoring institution of Journal of Modern Information. Nineteen editorial board members from universities and research institutes nationwide attended the meeting. Wei Zhongbao, the Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Jilin Province Institute of Scientific and Technological Information, delivered a speech at the meeting.

Director Wei Zhongbao expressed heartfelt gratitude to the editorial board for their support over the years. He warmly congratulated the establishment of the new editorial board and stated that as the sponsoring institution, Jilin Institute of Scientific and Technological Information will fully support the construction and development of the journal , striving to make it a top-tier scientific and technological journal rooted in Jilin and serving the whole nation.

The list of members of the new editorial board of Journal of Modern Information was announced during the meeting. The new editorial board is composed of 30 renowned experts in the field of information resource management from both domestic and international institutions. Professor Sun Jianjun from the School of Information Management at Nanjing University was appointed as the Chairman of the Editorial Board. Researcher Pan Yuntao from the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China, Professor Chu Jingli from the Document and Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Professor Li He from the School of Business and Management at Jilin University were appointed as Vice-Chairmen of the Editorial Board. Director Wei Zhongbao presented appointment letters to the Chairman, Vice-Chairmen, and members of the new editorial board.

Ma Zhuo, the Deputy Editor and Director of the Editorial Department of Journal of Modern Information, reported on the journal's basic situation and key work in recent years. She also discussed the shortcomings of the journal and shared thoughts on editorial planning, publishing service capabilities, digital transformation, and regional innovation support. The attending board members and experts recognized and encouraged the achievements of the journal in recent years. They engaged in lively discussions on the future development of the journal, offering constructive opinions and suggestions on topics selection, manuscript solicitation, and promotional activities.
