The RCCSE China Academic Journal Evaluation Report (hereinafter referred to as the "Report") is one of the four scientific and educational evaluation reports established by Professor Qiu Junping's team. In more than ten years of effort, the project team has made important breakthroughs in theoretical research and practical application in evaluation methods, evaluation indicators, and evaluation systems, and has formed a relatively mature scientific evaluation system. It is one of the seven mainstream journal evaluation systems in China, and now more than 2,000 publishing institutions and more than 800 scientific research management departments have used the evaluation results of the Report as an important reference tool for journal quality assessment and scientific research achievement statistics.

The development of the Report (6th edition) includes two parts: the recognition of Chinese academic journals and the evaluation of Chinese academic journals. Among them, a total of 6,390 Chinese academic journals were recognized, and 366 authoritative academic journals (A+ level), 1,693 core journals (A and A- levels), as well as 4,000 B+ level, B level, and C level journals were evaluated. In addition, the project team also conducted independent evaluation research on 255 vocational and technical colleges, adult education institutions, and 129 Chinese OA academic journals.
